Life.. Its a puzzle
It was past midnight and his eyes had become moist due to long day at work."Its almost late, I still have to complete the pair. But.. Ahh.. she looks so beautiful, my bundle of joy", thought God. "Its time for you to go home and lead a happy life. Don't worry about problems, He is coming after you, He will make you strong..", God gently whispered in Her ears and sent Her home.
An year later, God created another bundle of joy and sent Him home.
6 years later....
He was returning home from school one evening, happy as ever to see his family, face full of smile, little did he expect, things were about to change that night. He got up in the middle of the night crying, something unexplainable was happening to him, He was withering and everyone around him looked so upset....
God looked down from above and thought, "He requires someone to take care of him so dearly.. but who would that be?". He looked around the earth to find a perfect match for him. Then he came across Her. "Ahh.. there she is! my favourite one", he gleamed. "Hmm.. But how do I get him to meet her?","Yes! Now I know how..", God smiled.
She had been a brilliant student since childhood, did her best in her school and at home. Her parents wanted to give her best of education. So they decided to put her in one of the best schools. Instead of putting her into the grade she actually belonged, they put her into an year lower grade class. She could not really understand why her parents did something like that. "Am I a bad student.. ", She thought.
10 years later.....
He was academically not good since childhood. He managed to get through classes though. It was the first ever milestone he would have to cross in his education that year. "I must do my best this year, I have to get an admit in the most reputed college this year", He thought.
As he had thought, He had done brilliantly in his exams, that earned him an admit in one of the best colleges. What he never knew, she was there too...
On a fine day at college, he had arrived as usual to class. Seated at the back of the class, he was making paper planes and aiming at his fellow classmates esp. girls. One such arrow landed on her desk, she turned back to see who that was.. It was then He had noticed her for the first time. "There is something about her..", He thought.
2 years later.....
Looking from above God thought, "My plan was so brilliant but why didn't it work..."
She was with her friend one evening, when her friend noticed some familiar faces. Her friend invited them for a cup of coffee. It was then she noticed about him. "He is funny", she thought. "She looks so beautiful, there is something about her", He smiled.
3 years later.....
They hardly knew each other, spoke or met on very rare occasions. She met him at wedding after few years. He was so charming and funny. She could not stop smiling looking at him. Something about him she is was attracted too. It was strange but she could not stop thinking that she wanted to spend her life with him...
6 months later......
"I miss her. I have always missed her. I want to be with her. But what if she does not want to", He thought. He was going to take the biggest chance in his life. He did not want to give away without even trying. He called her out on a date hesitantly, to his surprise she agreed. "But how am I going to tell her", He wondered.
He met her that evening for coffee. "Gosh!..She looks so beautiful". They spent sometime talking and laughing about things. As time was ticking away he could no longer wait.. He smiled at her and asked "Will you marry me??"

Height... It all matters
When in Germany, as a part of Friday evening recreation, I used to go to wine market with my German girlfriends. I must say German girls are really really tall, I guess average height of a woman there should be around 6 feet. Mind you average height of Indian men is not even that close :). Well, My first visit to the wine market is worth a tale.
On particular evening, my friend and I reached the wine market after a hard day at work. The wine market was not that big, not crowded, it was put up on park kind of place, lots of stalls sold homemade food. This was during my early days and I had not idea about German food or drinks. My friend suggested me to try something German which I gladly accepted. I helped myself with mushroom gravy kind of dish and my friend had bread and cheese. We stood there in the market for about an hour talking and eating. We didn't even realize during this period the crowd in the market started growing. It was a small place and there were too many people. My friend suddenly realized that she had plans to meet her husband at that place but she was not sure where he was. We had to move through the crowd slowly to a less crowded area. We started to panic as it was too difficult to even move.
My Friend (Panicking): Can you see my husband somewhere? I am worried.
I am a 5 footer and I was completely engulfed by 6 footers. People were standing around me like walls. I could barely breath or see anyone's face.
Me (With a funny tone): Can please tell me where you are standing. If I can spot you then its just a piece of cake for me to spot your husband.
My Friend: I am just behind you.
We had a hearty laugh and proceeded through the crowd.
See people say height does not matter. Well, it does in some countries!

Its not all about a Name
I was living in a foreign land for almost an year. It was place where you cannot speak the country's language. Culture completely different from yours. Yet I love the way people in the country are.
During my initial days in Germany, One evening I was returning home from work. I got down from a bus to catch the next bus that took me home. You know in India we are taught from school that you first look right and then left, then again right before you cross the road. That was exactly what I was going to do. As the bus stood at its place waiting for passengers to board it, I stood right in front of the bus, slightly peaking to see the road to see if there any vehicles right behind the bus. As I did this, there was not so tall, slightly old, plump person watching me from behind.
Old guy: What are you doing? (Mind you he was a German and his English was not that impressive)
Me: I am trying to cross the road.
Old guy: Here in Germany you don't have look so much to cross the road. When you cross the vehicles stop.
As he was telling me this he quickly moved to my left. Yet I was scared and crossed cautiously. He said..
Old guy: Dont worry nothing would happen to you as long as I am on this side.
And we crossed the road and he waved goodbye saying.. Until tomorrow.
For that day onwards, whenever he came in the same bus as I did, he would always cross road with me and always to my left. I don't know his name, what he does or from where he gets into the bus. Yet his small gesture has made such a hugh difference in my life. You just don't need to know a person or his/her name to make a difference in their life. Just a small gesture is sufficient.
